As a certified GIYAME healer I have spent many years working with the properties of stones and crystals to bring wholeness, balance, serenity and healing to my clients.  I use this principle in creating jewelry which promotes healing, abundance and joy to the wearer.
Stones have been used for centuries in ceremony, rituals and worn as jewelry, placed in medicine bags.. even included in clothing designs.
Be aware of the "feeling" of jewelry when purchasing, make sure the energy of the stones compliments your energy.  When you desire to change your life and work with stones and crystals to do so, pick according to your desired results. 
Be open to your  intuitive "knowing" of which stones are excited to work with you at this point in your life.
Years ago I had an experience with Rhodonite which I would like to share with you.  I became aware that this was the stone I really needed to work with to open my heart chakra and bring healing to my child hood emotions and memories.  I had a friend who owned a metaphysical shop where strands of gemstones were hung.  Each time I walked by the rack of beads I could feel the pull of the Rhodonite.  I finally picked up a strand and held them in my right hand. WOW.. I was blasted with the pulling and tugging of the healing energy of Rhodonite.  I at once felt like my breath was being pulled and pushed from my body and my heart was being opened and energy moved in and out in a rush of emotions.  I began to sob my breaths and tears began to flow as memories flooded my consciousness.
I was so shocked that I quickly placed the strand back on the rack.  My friend who was watching me asked what in the world happened.  This was my role with the stones and crystals to hold them and listen to their messages.  I explained to my friend what had happened and she said don't pick them up again.  I gave myself a few moments and then picked the stand up and held them once again in my right hand.  I again experienced the intensity of the pulling and tugging of energy.  This time however I wasn't shocked and allowed the energy to move through me.  I purchased this strand and worked with it for several weeks healing my old wounds and filling my heart with love, acceptance and self love.
You probably will not experience such an intense energy when you begin working with the stone and crystal people.  They know where we are in our growth and how much we can experience without feeling fearful.  I mention that story to let you know that the energy is real and the healing power is available whether it's a high quality speciman, tumbled stone or gemstone bead. 
I encourage you to meditate with stones and crystals, wearing them adds more time with their energy and thus speeds the process of healing and learning.
I share my love of the Stone and Crystal People in my jewelry creations.  Each piece of jewelry is created in a meditative state listening to the individual stones and crystals and how they wish to be placed in the design.  99% are unique in design and the pattern not repeated.  I do have a few lines which I keep in stock.
Healing jewelry doesn't always have to be serious. Often I will add playfullness to the design to enhance the healing energy in a softer manner.  My Shaman jewelry is generally more intense and intended to work on a deeper level.  These pieces you can find on another page and at my Ebay store.
