| Art of Story Tellers From time begining.. we have passed on our hopes, dreams, triumphs and disappointments through story telling. As a child I loved making up stories, and when I had children of my own I created a story each night for them as I put them to bed. My children loved hearing a story about what happened to them in the realm of magic laced with every day reality. I now have a grandbaby to pass my story telling adventures to, as well as an 11 year old daughter who still insists on hearing a story each night. These two dolls represent all the mothers and children who share the joy of stories.. whether they are read from a book, enhanced retelling of the day's events or tradional stories. I used clay to create both dolls, fabric for their clothing. The Mother sits on a little wooden chair while her daughter sits on the rug. You can see the rapture of the telling on the little girls face. |
